Meet Dr. Vince, Therapist for Individuals and Couples
Licensed psychologist in Pasadena, CA | Individual & Couples Therapy
Are you going through the motions but feeling like something is missing? Maybe you’re exhausted from overthinking, from conflict at home, or from carrying the weight of experiences you’ve never fully processed. You know change is possible, but you’re not sure where to start, or if you even deserve to.
I work with individuals and couples who are ready to move from reactivity and disconnection toward something more grounded, more secure, and more authentically them. Whether you’re a young adult figuring out who you are, a man wrestling with identity and purpose, or partners stuck in cycles you can’t seem to break, I’m here to help you find a way forward.
From Stuck to Secure, What Therapy With Me Looks Like
I take a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that’s built around you: your story, your strengths, your nervous system. We’ll work together to understand what’s going on beneath the surface, build tools that actually stick, and help you move through life with more clarity and confidence.
Clients often describe me as warm, direct, and easy to talk to. I take the work seriously, and I also believe therapy doesn’t have to feel like pulling teeth. Honesty is welcomed here. So is a little humor when it’s needed.
Neuroscience-Informed
Your body holds stress and wounds from the past, and we work with your body rather than against it. Through somatic and psychosensory techniques, we explore how your nervous system responds to stress and build skills to regulate it. I’m trained in the NeuroTriad Model® and Havening Techniques®, both designed to reduce nervous system stress and rewire deeply held patterns.
Attachment-Based
From a young age, you learned how to keep yourself safe, maybe by shutting down, people-pleasing, or staying guarded. Those patterns made sense then. We’ll explore how they’re showing up now in your relationships and your sense of self, and work toward building a long-lasting feeling of security.
Values-Driven
You are the captain of your ship. I help you see the path ahead. Therapy here isn’t about fitting you into a mold. It’s about helping you understand your authentic self and make decisions rooted in what matters to you.
Who I Work With
I specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, emotional numbness, and major life transitions. I’m especially passionate about supporting young adults and men exploring identity, relationships, and purpose, as well as couples who want to feel more connected, secure, and invested in the relationship they chose.
I also offer a Couples Intensive Program for partners who are ready to do the deep work in a concentrated format. There is something truly special about the intensive experience. Watching a couple shift the way they relate to each other over the course of a single day is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. For couples navigating a major rupture, a significant life transition, or simply wanting to accelerate their growth together, the intensive creates the kind of momentum that can often take weeks to build.
I welcome clients of all races, ethnicities, sexual and gender orientations, and religious backgrounds. Identity isn’t just a footnote in our work. It’s often central to it.
Background & Credentials
I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from La Salle University in Philadelphia. My clinical background spans community mental health clinics, private boarding schools, behavioral health hospitals, and private practice.
I am a licensed psychologist in California (PSY34820) with advanced training in the NeuroTriad Model® and the Havening® Techniques, which uses psychosensory techniques to reduce nervous system stress and build resilience, and PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy, Level 1), which integrates neuroscience, attachment theory, and arousal regulation to help partners build secure, lasting relationships.
